History of the internet, when it all began |
Initially, the ARPANET was made to the national security interests of the United States(U.S.) and only connect the four sites owned by the Stanford Research Institute, University of California, Santa Barbara, University of Utah, where they form an integrated network in 1969. After that, the ARPANET began to be widely introduced in October 1972. Not long after the project is growing rapidly in some states to attract a number of universities in the U.S. to join. This makes it difficult to set the ARPANET. To overcome this, the ARPANET was split into two, namely "MILNET" for military purposes (national security) and the "ARPANET" new smaller for non-military purposes, such as universities. Combined both networks eventually known as DARPA Internet, which then reduces again to the Internetalias 'Cyberspace'."
