She holds the record for the highest racing female rider in the 24 Hours of Daytona. The Tomahawk was a Dodge non-street legal concept vehicle introduced at the 2003 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. It had futuristic and unusual design, featuring the 500 horsepower (370 kW) 8.3-litre (510 cu in) V10 SRT10 engine from the Dodge Viper. The vehicle has two front wheels and two rear wheels, making it a kind of motorized quadricycle rather than a typical motorcycle. The pairs of wheels move independently, allowing it to countersteer and lean in turns like a motorcycle. Dodge claimed the top speed was estimated at 300 miles per hour (480 km/h), based only on horsepower and final drive ratio and ignoring drag.[1] Joe Teresi, of Easyriders magazine and owner of the world record setting streamliner ridden by Dave Campos, scoffed at this due to the importance of drag, and Dodge declined offers to put the top speed claim to a test.

Hand-built examples of the Tomahawk were offered for sale through the Neiman Marcus catalog at a price of US$ 555,000, and up to nine of them might have sold. Dodge emphasized that the bikes were "rolling sculptures" not intended to be ridden.

The 500-horsepower Viper V-10 engine powering the dual rear wheels gives this radical vehicle a potential top speed of nearly 400 miles per hour - for anyone who wants to test it. The Tomahawk roared into public view at the North American International Auto Show.

Initial reaction to the concept vehicle typically comes in two words: "Wow" and "why."

The "wow" is easy to understand from Dodge, the brand that continues to drive its foot to the floor - most recently with the all-new 2003 Viper, Heavy Duty and Light Duty Rams and an SRT lineup dedicated to engineering the most powerful production vehicles in their segments.

But "why" would a company, famous for its innovative car and truck designs, go down this particular path?

Fastest roller coaster in the world The Formula Rossa, ever heard of it? I bet most of the people around the world haven't heard of this monster. 

Remember the last time you rode a roller coaster? Do you ask for more? Why? Is it because it's fast? or is it because it's high? or because of the magical combination of both?

Let us find out more about this world record breaking stuff, and while were at it why don't we start from where this roller coaster is located. US? nope, it is located at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the place is called Ferrari World.   

There aren't a heck of a lot of indoor theme parks, but Ferrari World, at a whopping 925,000 sq. ft. (over 20 acres), is the world's largest. With Abu Dhabi's average temperatures reaching above 105 degrees F (41 degrees C) in the summer, the climate-controlled park is a welcome refuge for visitors.

Perhaps the most striking feature of the park is its enormous red-domed roof. Ferrari World says that the bright red structure is supposed to resemble a Ferrari GT body, but it might also be mistaken for a renegade mothership from a big-budget science fiction movie. (Then again, it's unlikely any "War of the Worlds" spacecraft that landed in the desert would sport a huge Ferrari logo, as does the park's dome.)

Formula Rossa was manufactured by Intamin AG of Switzerland. It uses a hydraulic launch system (similar to the launch system used for Kingda Ka), and accelerates from 0 to 100 km (62 miles) in 2 seconds.

The coaster climbs 52m (171 feet), and riders experience 1.7 Gs. Formula Rossa starts inside the indoor theme park, accelerates through the dome, travels outside the park, and returns to the loading station inside the building. The train's cars have been made to look like flashy red Formula One Ferraris. Because of the speed and desert sand, riders are issued goggles.

Top Fastest Things : Fastest Car "The Bugatti Veyron"

The so called fastest car in the world, The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the only model currently in production of the car manufacturer Bugatti Automobiles SAS. Currently the production car the world's most powerful in its Super Sport, it is also one of the fastest. It is assembled in Alsace Dorlisheim. It was unveiled for the most part, at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris in 2000. Veyron is the first factory outlets in October 2005. It was not until 2010 to see a model "Grand Sport" and 2011 for the model "Super Sport".

The Veyron is made in small quantities in the workshop Bugatti Dorlisheim located in Alsace, the birthplace of the brand and the historical site of Bugatti. 300 copies will be built. The output of the Super Sport version of the Bugatti Veyron allows to "recover" this record, peaking certified by the Guinness Book at 431.072 km / h July 4, 2010.

Top People : Marco Simoncelli's Funeral (Photos)

Marco Simoncelli, Motorsport legend who was San Carlo Gresini Honda rider laid to rest following a funeral service that was witnessed by tens of thousands of people from all over Italy at Santa Maria Assunta church in Simoncelli's hometown Coriano, close to Riccione in the province of Rimini, Italy.
The crowd was estimated to reach 50,000 on the streets, and it may have turned out that way, as the streets were packed with crowds of mourners for the vibrant full throttle rider.
Sic's Gilera bike, on which he won the 2008 250cc World Championship title, and the Honda RC212V, on which he competed in the MotoGP class stood on either side of his casket during the final rites.
In attendance at the funeral are Marco's father Paolo, mother Rosella, sister Martina and girlfriend Kate, former fellow riders including Valentino Rossi, who was set to ride Simoncelli's motorcycle out at the end of the service as a tribute to his compatriot and close friend.
CEO of Dorna Sports Carmelo Ezpeleta, who attended the funeral services, shared with MotoGP his thoughts on the final ceremonies for Marco.
"What I experienced this afternoon in Coriano was very moving. After seeing the turnout of citizens, fans and the whole paddock there is no doubt that a great rider and a brilliant person has left us. The outpouring of affection that has been shown demonstrates that he has left his mark."
"I was impressed by the courage of Marco's family, and especially the strength of his father, Paolo, who was able to transmit his strength and energy to others... It has been extraordinary to see the MotoGP family come together for Marco Simoncelli. Despite the unfortunate loss, the tribute makes clear the immense affection that people had for him. We will never forget Marco."
Simoncelli, 24, lost control of his Honda motorcycle on the second lap of the Sepang circuit race on Sunday's Malaysian MotoGP. He ran across the paths of Colin Edwards and Rossi on the track, causing him to fall off his bike with his helmet flying out. He suffered massive head trauma, which quickly resulted in his death.
Paolo has previously spoken of his son and the fans' support to AFP.
"Thank you to everyone and I'm not just saying that... To say that I'm delighted with the way the world has reacted would be stupid but we hadn't realized how important Marco was to people... He was special -- people understood he was honest. Marco was pure," he said.

Until now i gotta admit i still can't believe that Marco Simoncelli is already gone, i and arguably most MotoGP fans out there will surely missed Super Sic's actions on the race track for a long time in the future.

Rossi, Families, Friends, and Fans : Farewell Marco Simoncelli

Most people, including me can't believe that the guaranteed next MotoGP icon, Marco Simoncelli passed away on Oct 23rd 2011 at 16.56 Malaysian Time. His tragic death caused by a horrific collision just moments into the Malaysian GP on Sunday.

Simoncelli was hit by Rossi and American Colin Edwards with the force knocking off his helmet, there was nothing they both could do though to avoid the crash, it happens really fast, no one could have thought of this happening in the early laps of the race.  Super Sic (Simoncelli's nickname) sustained serious trauma to his head, neck and chest and was taken to the Sepang track's medical centre but did not recover from the injuries.

2008: June- Wins his first 250cc race at the Italian GP in Mugello in controversial circumstances when Hector Barbera crashed into him after Simoncelli appeared to try to block him off.
October- Wins the 250cc World Championship after a successful season with Gilera with a third place finish in the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.
2009: Finishes third overall in the 250cc World Championship behind Japan's Hiroshi Aoyama and Spain's Barbera.
2010: Moves up to ride in his debut MotoGP season for Honda. Finishes 16 of the 18 races en route to eighth place in the championship.
2011: May- Collides with Dani Pedrosa while battling for second in the French GP. The resulting crash saw Pedrosa break his collarbone and Simoncelli receive a ride-through penalty, eventually finishing fifth. Simoncelli accepted he needed to re-evaluate his driving style and at times be more cautious.
June - Claims his first MotoGP pole at the Catalan GP but a poor start resulted in a sixth placed finish.
October 23 - Killed in a crash during the Malaysian GP in Sepang.
